Synopsis:

In Back of All Things, after a long separation, Madeleine and her half-brother Joseph, are reunited. Once known as Moxie and High Joey, they had been active addicts together and had an affair. Joseph, now clean for a number of years through 12-step programs, returns to make amends to Madeleine, who has stayed clean by becoming a nun. Their older brother Alexander and Madeleine’s ex-lover, Hank, complicate the situation by showing up and triggering past hurts. Madeleine’s faith is fragile and she is slowly tempted back into her old ways of coping with the harshness of life.
