Clay, a young widow / Dylan / Alison, Dylan’s wife / Jenny / Tiffany, Alison and Dylan’s neighbor / Ben, Jenny’s first love / Carrie, Clay’s sister and Jenny’s best friend.

All the characters are in their mid to late thirties except for Tiffany who is twenty-one.
