LIT is a 90 minute, coming of age comedy that follows a group of teenage Firefly Scouts as they journey into the forest for a 3 day leadership retreat. The group of tight-knit girls (and one outlier) begin to reveal their true selves as time wears on: old fights are revisited, rumours are circulated and one girl is put to the test to uncover her true allegiance.

CAPTAIN : 16. In charge. Wants to be the Prime Minister when she grows up.
TARA: 15. Dirty minded, loyal, comes from a BIG hispanic family. Wants to be an Olympic gymnast when she grows up.

VANESSA: 15. Black. Too mature, know it all. Wants to be her own boss when she grows up.

WINNIFRED: 14. The youngest, innocent, follower. Wants to be an artist, any kind, when she grows up.

JENNY: 16. Didn’t make Captain, even though she has the most badges. Sympathetic. Wants to be a museum curator when she grows up.

KIT: 15. Not supposed to be here and she knows it. Different. Is still figuring out what she wants to be when she grows up.

PARK RANGER KEITH (can be played by Captain): 33. Manly, fit, strong jaw. Didn’t want to be a park ranger when he grew up.

*With the exception of Tara and Vanessa whose ethnicities are specified, roles can be played by women of any ethnicity or ability.
