A group of female authors meet in a park once a week, set up a table and try to interest passersby in buying their books. They know how to push each others buttons as they vie for customers.


LINDA:  55 – 75 years old. An author of 42 books in the romance genre under several different names.

ROSEANNAMARIA: 40 – 60 years old. An aging hippie, singer/songwriter, almost famous. Wrote her autobiography.

JILLIAN: 50 – 70 years old. An ex-debutante, children’s author. One book only, with puppet, coloring and activity books. It’s about a fence lizard named Larry.

MARLA: 55 – 75 years old. A retired university professor. Wrote book in praise of non-mindfulness meditation.

HAZEL:  70 – 90 years old. An elderly author who started the ‘Meet the Authors’ initiative, and is in charge of organizing the weekly event. 

SUSAN:  30 – 60 years old. A woman who locked her purse and dog in her car and needs help.

FRED:  55 – 75 years old. An older man out for a Saturday stroll in the park.

HELEN:  50 – 75 years old. Fred’s wife.

HENRY: 55 – 80 years old. An older gentleman, kind and genuinely charming.

MONICA: 30 – 60 years old. A race-walker.

ROBERT: 40 – 60 years old. A race-walker.

TAMMY: 30 – 60 years old. A race-walker.
